The achiever can make friends easily but can lose them just as fast as they become too competitive and aggressive to get to the top. As I have stated earlier, you will need positive relationships to reach success and to keep it. At your burnout stage, you will want to maintain the appearance that you have things together, but you will achieve less and resent others more. The negative side to achievers is their jealousy of those that possess what they want. This can take their qualities of high achievement and skill towards short-cuts and deceit.
Achievers must begin to see that they are taking shortcuts and begin to work positively and cooperatively with others to trouble-shoot problems to achieve goals. Your ability to see and utilize the skills of others to work cooperatively to meet company and life goals will go far to see you to your dreams and aspirations.
Others will begin to compliment you for mixing well with people at work and at social activities. Do not worry, sharing tasks will not make you any less of an achiever. You will continue to be afforded initiatives and tasks to achieve on your own. Do not let your thoughts of always being the best defines you. You will start disintegrating to unhealthy qualities where you become paralyzed.
Success is not a solo act but your individual efforts are important to achieving goals. Keep and build positive relationships by understanding your quirks and burnout signals. You need to be cognitive of how others perceive you if you are going to win over and influence others to participate in your road to success.
Achievers are by definition success-driven. They must understand the negative parts to achievement especially when one aspires to achieve at any cost and by any means.
